Check out this message talking about recognizing what we need to change and how we go about it.
“How are you?”
The answer is, “I’m tired.” Before Covid a year ago, asked folks how they were . . . busy and tired they’d reply.
Now . . . busyness might have been reduced, but the answer is still “I’m tired.”
Over the next 40 days we invite you to journey with the West Faith Community as we talk about revamping our bios.
Finding rest as we revamp our bios is essential.
When we understand what Christ does for us and will do, we can learn to rest, let our guard down, let go of the things that bring us stress and pain, and live in the goodness of God.
Why are we so resistant to rest? It’s important to recognize this so that we can change it. How do we live lives of rest?
1. First, we have to trust! At the end of the day, all will be well.
2. Second thing is to remember how our value and worth are defined.
Our worth and value are not defined by human beings. Our worth and value is determined by God.
Romans 13:9-10 (The message)
Don’t run up debts, except for the huge debt of love you owe each other. When you love others, you complete what the law has been after all along. The law code—don’t sleep with another person’s spouse, don’t take someone’s life, don’t take what isn’t yours, don’t always be wanting what you don’t have, and any other “don’t” you can think of—finally adds up to this: Love other people as well as you do yourself. You can’t go wrong when you love others. When you add up everything in the law code, the sum total is love.
